What are some techniques for self healing with the mind?

I’m interested in ways to use the mind through meditation, hypnosis, etc., for healing myself. Any sources and/or success stories would be great. I have seen the Silva method of meditation – anyone know if that works? Thank you.

Lean on your faith
Become at one with yourself. Listen to your body. Deep breathing into your stomach and using visualisation help with this. Imagine a warm glow as you breathe in, and imagine your pain (physical/mental/spiritual) as black smoky energy as you breathe out. Breathe in the warm glow to replace it and heal your pain.
Continue to learn new things every day. Do a course in psychology.
Prayer and meditation help many. Also, you must be strong and learn it’s O.K. to make your own decisions. Trial and error are a natural why to grow and teach yourself. Don’t allow others to pressure your decisions. Use only positive influences to gain energy. Logic, reality thinking goes a long way.
read eckhart tolle – the power of now…you want to heal yourself, are you ill?
I would look into the practices of Thich Nhat Hanh, the famous Buddhist from Vietnam. His mindful waking is awesome. He has so many spectacular books on mediation. To start, I would recommend meditating on his 5 Mindful Trainings. If you can master that, then you should attempt his 14 Mindful Trainings. If these for some reason, do not suit you, he is the most flexible with learning. He says that if it doesn’t suit you, you can always do some other meditations of his, or even somebody’s else’s, as long as you achieve the desired result.

it works for sure. you should find someone who practices meditation/hypnosis/visualisation to guide you at first on how to do it. when you learn how to do visualisation it will be much better. i know that some hospitals in America use visualisation for their cancer patients and it seems that it works.Best of luck.
