Some people believe that weight loss begins in the mind. But the question I’ll try to answer is: could lose weight hypnosis be an alternative for losing weight? Permanent weight loss occurs with a change in lifestyle, not through unnatural diets that are impossible to maintain.
Hypnotism has become an important part of weight loss strategies. Currently, more and more people are turning to hypnosis or hypnotherapy for help with weight loss.

Do you want to lose weight and get into the best shape of your life? Of course you do â everyone does! Even people who are close to their âidealâ weight are usually in terrible shape, with a lack of endurance and energy. Being slim isnât everything â being slim and being in great shape is! But for someone who is overweight, and feeling tired all the time, âslim and in great shapeâ can feel like a pipe dream⦠but itâs not â you can do it!
Everyone, including you, has a right and an entitlement to overflowing health, a strong, supple body, and an attractive figure. I think that is a basic human right. And you know what?… it is a human right – but no one can bestow this on you, you have to achieve it and maintain it yourself.

This is a common question that I get, and it is one of the more common misconceptions and myths surrounding hypnosis. It’s interesting that most people want some part of it to be true…as when they have been unsuccessful at change on their own so they just want someone to magically make them do what they know to be the right things automatically. But if the hypnotist using hypnosis was able to do that, then they would also be able to have that person do what the hypnotist wanted him to do for their own selfish needs. And that is what usually scares people, and rightly so. But the truth is that none of these remarks are true. Hypnosis is not a magic that takes over the subjects mind. So a hypnotist is limited to what their client or subject is willing to accept. An experienced and well trained hypnotist is able to get their client to accept more than others.
What The Scientists Report
From close to 15000 worldwide studies reported in the NIH database on March of 2009, when doing a search for “dangers of hypnosis” I was unable to locate any studies that distinctly cited that hypnosis was dangerous. Add to that the extremely low cost of malpractice insurance for hypnotists and you can come to the conclusion on your own that hypnosis is not the danger that some think it is. Rather, hypnosis is a helpful tool for quick and efficient change. The only dangers that I can see is in not taking advantage of hypnotic techniques because you were afraid that it was dangerous.
Then Why Do People Fear Hypnosis?

What Are The New Behaviors For Weight Loss?
In an earlier article I discussed how hypnosis can be used to make lifestyle changes that will become habits. These new habits will lead to an overweight person becoming a lean, physically and emotionally healthier person. Now I received a bunch of questions about what are the habits that I work on to help an overweight person create change and lose weight? And since there were so many questions about what these habits are I decided to write a series of articles explaining the basic habit changes necessary or most desirable that will lead to the quickest change in your weight status.
What’s The Number 1 Habit Of A Healthy And Fit Person?

It is important to understand that hypnosis is a separate, altered state of consciousness. You are not awake. A trance is a state of mind in which a hypnotized client is able to free his or her mind from the constraints of their five senses and preconceptions. Typically the sensation is described as relaxing, blissful, dreamy or “I just felt different”.
You gain control during hypnosis by easily making the changes that you want through hypnotherapy. A hypnotherapist or hypnotism cannot make you violate your moral/ethical code.
