I have not had a decent nights sleep in months. I have tried various techniques and books, hypnosis tapes, herbal remedies and have even got pills from my doctor, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone found anything that works for them? Your help would be much appreciated.

Sleep is important for an individual’s body to function, mature, and heal itself after an injury. The majority of researchers find that adults need between six and eight hours of sleep nightly. A number of people, however, are unable to manage this. Almost 20 million Americans alone experience significant difficulty sleeping nightly.

ok 4 days ago i stayed awake for 48 hours, slept total of 4 hours after that (on and off, kept waking up) been awake since then again which so far has amounted to a day and a half, almost 48 hours again. every time i get in bed i CANNOT sleep. i dont know why, maybe my consciousness is over stimulated or thinking too much. i dont know. i laid in bed all night tossing and turning and getting so frustrated to the point where i even cry cuz i just lose hope in sleep. is this ‘i cant sleep’ just in my head or am i having severe insomnia issues or maybe chronic fatigue syndrome? what can i do to get a decent nights sleep from now on without ever worrying about insomnia again? this happens to me at least twice a month where i stay up days on end. HELP!
i have tried so far: yoga, meditation, self hypnosis, hot baths, tea, cold room, warm room, reading, no caffiene before bed or meals, counting backwards etc and so on. and i would prefer drug/pill free answers as i don’t take them. thank you to any one that can help me or give advice.

Stop insomnia hypnosis is a viable approach to quit your insomniac habits. This approach uses the mind in a trance state as a vehicle to lull you into a restful sleep. Hypnotic exercises can be completed at your convenience and in the comfort of your own home. You don’t have to visit a hypnotherapist in person or go to a hypnotherapy clinic in order to achieve mind control.

Insomnia is the inability to sleep. If you struggle either to fall asleep or to stay asleep for at least a few hours, you are probably suffering from insomnia. The symptom of many sleep disorders, insomnia means you find it difficult to enjoy a good nightâs sleep and feel more or less permanently tired as a result. The good news if you suffer from insomnia, though, is that hypnosis can help ease and conquer insomnia.
There are two main types of insomnia: primary and secondary. Primary insomnia is caused by something understandable such as your lifestyle, bad habits or uncomfortable bed. Secondary insomnia, on the other hand, has a medical cause and problems such as depression, grief or alcohol abuse are at the root of the insomnia. It may be that you suffer from transient insomnia which lasts for no more than 2-3 days; short-term insomnia which lasts between 2 days and 3 weeks; or chronic insomnia which lasts for more than 3 weeks. Whatever type or length of insomnia you are experiencing, it can affect your enjoyment of life.

My girlfriend has been suffering from insomnia for the past couple years, she has to take ambien every night, shes become almost immune to it now and not even that helps her anymore. If she doesn’t take anything she will be up for a week and start passing out. How can she start getting natural sleep for once? Can hypnosis work or is that all garbage? I’m desperately trying to find a cure to this without drugs. Please helpp. Thank you.
she is seeing a psychologist and they have done everything they can and they still can’t seem to help her

Do you crave and really need a decent nights sleep? Do you find yourself laying awake night after night in your hopeless attempts to get a sound amount of slumber? Do you find yourself nodding off in the day because you are not getting your 8 hours a night? If you are then you are probably suffering at the hands of insomnia. Insomnia is becoming increasingly common in our modern day lives as we work and play harder than any other generation before us. So if insomnia is your problem, then what can you do to rectify it? Is there a solution to your dilemma?
As a hypnotherapist I have helped countless numbers of people with insomnia over my career. In fact insomnia is one of those issues that we see a lot of in the clinic as it is very common – probably even more common than you could ever imagine. It affects people from many different socio-economic backgrounds as well as people of all ages and educational background. In fact given the right scenarios, I don’t think anyone would be immune. However once we have got into the routine of insomnia it is possible to escape and regain a solid sleeping pattern once again.
