I recently developed a fear of taking medications of any kind for no apparent reason. If I have to take one, I inevitably end up having a panic attack from thinking too much about how I’ve never tried it before and I could be allergic or I could have a potentially fatal reaction to it, etc. My mind just won’t stop having these terrible thoughts and I can’t seem to be able to control them. It’sbeen so out of control, I ended up in the ER twice these past 2 months. I’m thinking about trying hypnosis so that hopefully my brain can associate safe thoughts with medicine that is prescribed to me instead of uncontrollable fear. Has anyone ever tried to get over a phobia through hypnosis? Does it work? What’s the process like?
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? I cant afford a session with an actual hypnotist, and I have a book on hypnosis/self hypnosis, granted its the Complete Idiots version, but its still real resourceful. If anyone has had good success with this, can you help me with a script? Thanks.
Guess I shouldve been alot more specific, thats my bad. I didnt mean cure like actually cure ADD, I meant can hypnosis help aid those with ADD. In the way that prescription drugs would, only without having to take the drugs.
Im not a fan of drugs, wether it be legal or not, unless its an herb or something like the Chinese and Indians used, so Im trying to go with hypnosis to help me study and learn and remember what I learn. Thanks.
Here’s the link to hypnosis that could cure your fear/phobia:
keep in mind that it does not work with everyone.
It will put you in a state of total relaxation and cure your phobia. (fear of heights, flying, shyness, low confidence issues, spiders etc) You need to be in complete silence.
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by having difficulty falling asleep as well as difficulty staying asleep. Insomnia is a common problem, for some people it means experiencing an occasional sleepless night every now and then. Others have trouble getting enough adequate sleep almost every night.
The best solution to cure insomnia is to find the root cause and remove it. Of course, the problem is not always that easy. But if your insomnia is caused by your lifestyle, the best long-term solution is to change your lifestyle. In most cases, it is better to do one small change at a time, rather than trying to change everything at once. The latter approach is too ambitious for most people. Without fast results it is easy to get discouraged and give up. A healthier lifestyle has many more benefits than just improving your sleep.
I’m pretty sure I have Social Anxiety Disorder. I don’t have the money to get a proper diagnosis, but it can’t possibly be anything else. It makes life…existence…a nightmare. How can I get rid of the fear of being around people? Is there a drug that can do this, without making me dopey? Or, is there some self-hypnosis that can help?
There’s nothing worse than having to get up in the morning after a sleepless night, trying to go about your day to day tasks, feeling as if you are running on an empty tank; you can’t think straight, your body feels heavy and all you want to do is curl up in a ball and sleep. And yet, by the time darkness falls, your body seems to waken up and you just know that yet another sleepless night awaits you. A self-fulfilling prophesy then ensues.
I have hyperhydrosis(exessive sweat problem) nobody knows what this does to you emotionally unless u have it and i get this anxiety that i dont want people to touch my hands or see my armpit stains so im wondering if the hypnotist would help me control my mind or make me forget it ??
Nearly every smoker needs help stopping smoking. There is good reason that kicking the tobacco habit is so very difficult. You have trouble when you try to stop your cigarette or cigar routine because you need a support to guide you, helping you quit without restarting.
