Do you agree that losing weight is one of the biggest things we procrastinate about?  Or is it the thought of being deprived?

Well it can be both of those.  There is a lot of work involved in losing weight.  Maybe you just don’t want to put that much effort in to be healthy and will probably die at an earlier age!

We may only guess why we procrastinate about losing weight.  It doesn’t necessarily mean that we are lazy.  The stress of procrastination alone can force us to overeat or not take the time to exercise.  Are we are setting ourselves up for failure before we ever begin?

I have some questions about hypnosis?

hypnosis is a total and I repeat total control of the mind as I have seen in some videos, I was wondering…
1.- If hypnosis is effective, why is that there are so many people struggling with drugs dependency?
2.- why not applying hypnosis in hospitals as a common practice?
3.- in schools and daily life?
4.- every day mutual hypnosis for a happy marriage?
5.- to eat veggies you don’t like
what are the limits?

Do you know about extreme learning techniques?

I want to become an engineer and more. Are there any far-out methods to digesting vast amounts of information quickly and efficiently? I am interested in things like self-hypnosis and meditation. I want to learn about programming, calculus, geometry/ trigonometry, physics, algebra, multiplication tables, biology, environmental science, automotive mechanics etc… Did you see ‘the Matrix’ where trinity downloaded into her brain how to fly helicopter? Not that easy, obviously but anything like that would be too cool. Too much blank gray matter in here. Don’t want to hear about nose to the grindstone, I am very busy and I already know about that. Thank you!

Hypnosis is a powerful self-help tool which you may have the wrong idea about. It seems that there are myths and misconceptions tied into the hypnosis which prevent people to receive and enjoy the many benefits Hypnosis offers.

The reality is that many of our challenges stem from the way we think and perceive ourselves to be. Unlike medication which only change the chemistry of the body and therefore the symptoms, hypnosis help you change the way you think and experience life.

My text book mention little about these. However, I cannot know how I can use these in hospital. Thus, could anyone tell me example of how nurses use these for patients please? Also, which non-drug pain management are used most and which one is most effective?

Tell me more about…?

Delayed sleep phase syndrome. I think I have it from a couple sources I’ve read. I always fall asleep at two or two thirty AM despite the time I go to bed/start relaxing, and while I’m asleep I have no problem staying asleep, but it means I wake up at noon. Do I really have DSPS? How do I get diagnosed? Any treatments? I’ve tried everything: relaxation techniques, early bedtimes, hypnosis, alcohol, sleeping pills, dull reading, and just plain old reading. I also have to use three alarm clocks to get up.
rcsi student, I read the wikipedia article too, so it’s not really helping.

When it comes to hypnosis, many have misconceptions in their mind. Hypnosis is generally associated with evil and bad events, however, there is a scientific approach to it and it is far beyond what is shown in the movies. Hypnosis is portrayed as magic that can help you make others do what you want them to do. If that were the case, life would have been so much easier for many hypnotists. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where one can relax and fight their problems. Today when over half the people in the world are fighting with stress, tension, and emotional disturbances, a hypnotherapist is required to help them out. Hypnosis Education
