Survey: I need to know if anyone here has used hypnosis to stop smoking, as I just found out I have to have ?

Surgery & I know that for the amount of time i will be in the hospital and fairly stoned at that…i will definitely want to smoke especially because they tell me not to. I would actually have to go AMA and off the grounds to smoke which is not possible for what i have to do…so..in answer to my question..anyone tried hypnosis and if so did it work?

Yes, my dad is a hypnotherapist and he has helped many people successfully quit smoking.
it depends on if your able to truely be hypnotised i know a couple people who tried it and it didn’t work because they weren’t able to be hypnotised it depends on you really but i would just go to the doctor and get a more conventional way they can give you mints to suck on when you want a cigarette so you don’t have to have a cigarette but you get your nicotine anyways, good luck
I did it and it worked temporarily. I made the choice to go back to smoking (stupid). But with any quit smoking program you have to want it to work. The hospital should provide you with the nicotine patch while you are there.
You need to go into the hypnosis with a positive attitude!

2 1/2 yrs ago I went in hospital not knowing I had to have open heart surg, I was a smoker about 2 packs a day. I came out 14 days later a non smoker and I have never had any cravings or any thing matter of fact I cant be around ppl that smoke. try that cuz you are going to be dopey in the first place.
