R there any technique for self hypnosis, as a way to better one’s self?

What came to mind immediately was Meditation. I have used it successfully to improve my mental state.
Self suggestion is the best way to create positive change (or negative change!) There’s a great “wide awake hypnosis” track that gives suggestions for improvement at http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=785827. You can listen for free.
There are also self hypnosis motivation downloads that you can use.

If you’re a fairly positive person then self suggestion should work for you. If you’re lacking in confidence or don’t feel that it’s going to be easy to change then I’d recommend doing a session or 2 with a professional.
