Do you find that you are suffering from a large amount of stress in your daily life? Is anxiety too frequent during your day? Do you ever wish that there was a way for you to relax and it wasnât going to eat up a huge amount of time or completely empty out your wallet?
If yes is the answer to any of these questions then you owe it to yourself to learn the ways of self hypnosis relaxation techniques.
I’ve been given some tapes from a friend and I just started listening to them last night. They are suppose to hypnotize you, but when it says ‘sleep’ I never do fall into a trance…? Do these tapes work just by listening or do you have to fall into a trace for them to work.
Really quite frequently now I’ve been getting insomnia. What will frequently happen is that I’m drifting off, when I hear a little voice in my head saying “Wouldn’t it be annoying if you couldn’t get to sleep,” and I start thinking about it. I then always get an adrenalin rush, which finishes me off, sends my heart racing and makes me want to throw my pillows across the roon… This is always when I have to be up the next day for college or something etc
Whilst I’m naturally quite an anxious person, I’d say I have less than an average share of worries at the moment, I’m not under particular stress (except for worrying about not sleeping), and I regularly exercise (and no not in the hours leading up to sleep).
Erickson maintained that trance is a common, everyday occurrence. For example, when waiting for buses and trains, reading or listening, or even being involved in strenuous physical exercise, it’s quite normal to become immersed in the activity and go into a trance state, removed from any other irrelevant stimuli. These states are so common and familiar that most people do not consciously recognise them as hypnotic phenomena.
The same situation is in evidence in everyday life, however, whenever attention is fixated with a question or an experience of the amazing, the unusual, or anything that holds a person’s interest. At such moments people experience the common everyday trance; they tend to gaze off to the right or left, depending upon which cerebral hemisphere is most dominant (Baleen, 1969) and get that faraway or blank look. Their eyes may actually close, their bodies tend to become immobile (a form of catalepsy), certain reflexes (e.g., swallowing, respiration, etc.) may be suppressed, and they seem momentarily oblivious to their surroundings until they have completed their inner search on the unconscious level for the new idea, response, or frames of reference that will restabilize their general reality orientation. We hypothesize that in everyday life consciousness is in a continual state of flux between the general reality orientation and the momentary microdynamics of trance…[7]
A lot of people have been suffering from stress or anxiety recently, especially with the current economic environment, and they want to find a way to relax without spending too much of their time and money. Self hypnosis relaxation techniques are the answer to this dilemma. It can be performed easily with no cost at all.
First, you have to set aside at least thirty minutes and up to an hour of your time where you will be undisturbed. Then, look for a nice and clean place to relax and check if the room is set at a comfortable temperature. You may light a few candles with your preferred scent. Next, choose the most comfortable position for you, either you can sit down or lay down during the hypnosis procedure. Always make sure that you are not crossing your legs during the hypnosis relaxation process.
So I recently got the program “Think and Lose” and really took it to heart. The first time I fell asleep but woke up and began to do it again. The following day I went to breakfast with some friends and took one bite of my breakfast and felt nauseous. The same thing happened all day. After a week I went to the doctor who did blood work and I’m not pregnant so then I began to think that perhaps it’s a command in the program or my mind took it that way. It says to eat half and leave half but honestly I’m not even eating a quarter and I feel nauceous. It could just be a coincidence but I don’t know, anyone had this happen to them? What did you do? How did you reverse it? I know I feel silly asking but it’s real. Too late in the year for the flu huh? I never get nauseous.
Why is it more effective to hear a Self Help Audio Book than a book?I am big rooter of self help audio books. Do you know why?Well, if you are the same as me, you just don’t have that much time to read. work, family, friends take up most of time and I when I want to unwind, reading a self help book that needs concentration isn’t always on the top of my list. That’s why self help audio books are effective.
I find it much better to hear to anything than study it. It goes faster into my brain! I can hear to a self help audio book on my path to and from workplace. In my car, on the bus or train. But that’s not really the single cause. I think most people study better when we hear to something than when we read it. That’s why our education system is dependent on a instructor or lecturer speaking to the class.
Is Hypnosis It Temporary?
Not only is Hypnosis not temporary, nothing could be further from the truth. But this again is a common myth and misconception. Hypnosis is as temporary as any knowledge that we know and learn. When you learn to ride a bicycle is that learning temporary? Even if you stopped riding for many years, does that mean that it’s temporary? No, of course not! Of course we could choose to ride or not ride, because that is our free will. Again, we need to review that hypnosis is not dangerous. If hypnosis was about taking away people’s choices, that would be dangerous. But by connecting you through many positive responses to the correct behaviors, an effective hypnotist is able to use those good feelings to guide their clients to a healthy and fit new life. For example, when using hypnosis to lose weight the hypnotist will connect good positive feelings to healthier food choices and bad negative feelings to the unhealthy food choices. This is to guide you from your unconscious/subconscious to correct behaviors that will lead to weight loss.
