I have some questions about hypnosis?
hypnosis is a total and I repeat total control of the mind as I have seen in some videos, I was wondering…
1.- If hypnosis is effective, why is that there are so many people struggling with drugs dependency?
2.- why not applying hypnosis in hospitals as a common practice?
3.- in schools and daily life?
4.- every day mutual hypnosis for a happy marriage?
5.- to eat veggies you don’t like
what are the limits?

They won’t do it because it’s not natural. You need to tough things out and learn from mistakes. And learn how to deal with things. You can’t always take the easy way out. It’s important for people to be able to do things on their own and live their life.
I don’t know what your thinking…
Hypnosis requires the “patient” to be willing to go along with it. At hypnosis shows, after calling everyone up from the audience they usually test their subjects to see if they are responsive to hypnosis or not. A large amount of hypnosis is belief that it will work and willingness for it to work. When someone talks to a hypnotized person, they’re talking to their subconscious. If the subconscious says no, the person says no. For instance, I (most likely) couldn’t get you into a “trance” then tell you to strip naked. Your subconscious would reject that.. hopefully. So
1 – Hypnosis is not a cure all, and its very possible to relapse. Also, it is not possible for everyone to do. Sessions take quite a while, over an hour usually, and it takes multiple sessions for some psychological problems
2 – Some people have been hypnotized out of pain, but it generally is ineffective. And there is a major shortage of hypnotists.
3 – If you have any serious issues at school or daily life… go ahead and call up a hypnosis. They could help
4 – Marriage councilling is probably more effect, definitely cost wise. And if one person fails to have it work, your footing twice the bill with half the result.. talk about what that could do to a Marriage. And I don’t believe hypnotism is covered by insurance.
5 – Possible.. why not?
There really aren’t any limits. If you learn to self hypnotize, you could make your life a bit easier. But it isn’t a miracle science, and its far from as useful as normal medicine. Picture enhanced meditation, and your not far off. Now, learning hypnosis so you can impress your friends is awesome, but if they are unwilling to go into a trance.. you could have some problems.
Hypnosis is not total control of the mind – Don’t believe everything you watch on TV.
Hypnosis is simply a set of techniques to put someone into a highly-suggestible state. This is a natural state that everyone goes into a few times a day (a few people with extremely low IQs and certain mental illnesses are the only people that can’t be hypnotized). Ever watch a movie on TV and not get up during the commercials because you were too engrossed in the movie? Or drive home on ‘autopilot’ and not know how you got there? You were in a light hypnotic state.
Since people are in a suggestible state you can encourage them to do things; however, no one will do something while in a ‘hypnotic trance’ that they would not normally do. If I was to hypnotize you and tell you to give me all your money, you wouldn’t do it unless you wanted to. (So, you won’t eat the veggies you don’t like no matter what I tell you when you’re under.)
Hypnosis can be effective to reinforce behaviors you really want to change, but the suggestions do wear off. If someone was to use hypnosis, they should have the suggestions strengthened every week or two to continue receiving the benefits from the suggestions.
EDIT: Actually, hypnosis can be highly effective for pain management. It just takes a lot of preparation/work. Many people have undergone surgery with no pain relief other than hypnotic suggestion.
Hello
Hypnosis is NOT control.
A hypnotic state is a natural state, one which we all enter several times a day. A hypnotherapist simply induces that state with the clients permission. There is no control of any kind at any stage.

Hypnosis CAN control the Mind IF the patient is willing to.
Hypnosis is not used in hospitals and other medical centers for the same reason they don’t use herbs and natural medicine; PHARMACEUTICAL companies DO NOT want people to find natural cures; they want them to buy their own drugs, so they can make a larger profit margin.
I know this sounds all extreme, but it is sadly the truth.
I have used hypnosis to regrow my hair on my hair line; it sounds crazy when I write it like this, and I am sure many people will not like me saying this, but that’s life.
But always remember, hypnosis is just one of the tools. The main thing we have is our mind. If we already have positive “mantras” like “I love life!” or “i am always happy” or “i will easyly recover from any illness” then you wont even need hypnosis!
Meditation is an even stronger way to healing anything in your life. Please see source.
Hypnosis requires a willing patient who, on some level, wants what they are being hypnotized for. In other words, it would only help you stop smoking if you really really want to stop smoking. before hypnosis.
