I have to do a persuasive speech over something for my speech class and this speech is one of the more important ones. So for a topic, I thought I’d help define to everyone the truths about hypnosis, instead of the beliefs that are instilled in them through the media and other sorts. Is this a good idea?

The logic behind this is quite simple. People in society today tend to think that hypnosis is something like the dracula movies, or the cartoons where everyone is controlled. There is this belief that if you fall into a trance, you are being mind controlled.

Well, the fact is that all of this isn’t true and the entire goal of the speech is to quell those doubts and help people to see hypnosis for what it really is.

I’m not sure if this is a good persuasive element or not, but I’m asking if anyone could provide some opinions on this topic. Is it a good one and something I should persue, or should I look into something else?
