William Moulton Marston created the character Wonder Woman in 1941.

In a 1943 issue of The American Scholar, Marston wrote:
“Not even girls want to be girls so long as our feminine archetype lacks force, strength, and power. Not wanting to be girls, they don’t want to be tender, submissive, peace-loving as good women are. Women’s strong qualities have become despised because of their weakness. The obvious remedy is to create a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman.”

These are some of Wonder Woman’s abilities/skills:

* Super strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, durability, and hearing
* Flight
* Superior hand-to-hand and weapons combat skills
* Animal empathy
* Regeneration
* Resistance to magic
* Immunity to illusions, hypnosis and mind control
* Ability to discern truth
* Access to magical weaponry.

How many of these skills do you think I can acquire? ;) It would be nice to own a lasso of truth. People are far too politically correct these days and rarely ever say what they mean. My lasso of truth could change that. Think of the possibilities. :)
