Hypnosis Guide
For those who have wondered “how does hypnosis work,” many will be surprised that the actual process is different than what they have always pictured. Most people when they hear “hypnosis,” almost immediately they will start to picture how the practice is commonly performed in movies or even in person, as a stage act. The truth is that real hypnosis is actually nothing like that. You do not have the master and slave dynamic that is typically seen, with someone waving a pocket watch or some other bobble back and forth. People under hypnosis actually have free will to do whatever they want to do.

I can’t sleep! I will be so tired sometimes and unable to fall asleep. I seriously think I am an insomniac. sometimes I will lay in bed for up to 4 hours before falling asleep. I am in college and sleep is something that I obviously need. many nights I only get about 4 hours and will feel fatigued and tired all day long but when I try to fall asleep again at night I have the same problems. I have tried everything that I can think of: I’ve listened to hypnosis cds, relaxation cds, counted sheep, taken nyquil but no matter what I cant seem to get on a normal sleeping schedule.

It seems like I can never fall asleep until 12-1 at night, no matter what time I get in bed, 8 or 9 it’s always 12-1 that I fall asleep and I always wake up exhasted in the morning? I’ve tried all sorts of things to fall asleep, deep breathing, muscle relaxation, even hypnosis. None of them really seemed to work, I’m on the verge of trying Sleeping Pills but don’t really want to because I heard they could be addictive. I’ve also heard of Melatonin which is natural and is automatically generated by your body. Any Ideas or suggestions for that?
Thanks

One of the best ways to learn to relax is through hypnosis or hypnotherapy. Many people have a hard time relaxing on their own because most people live their lives being stimulated with constant noise around them (TV, radio, cell phones) that they become addicted to the noise and have a hard time quieting their mind and being in silence. Hypnosis is a guided visualization technique to deeply relax the body and can help train the client how to relax on their own through self-hypnosis. Through hypnosis you will learn how to quiet your mind and slow down or stop the mind chatter from your ego.
Once your mind and body has made the connection and learned how to relax and go into an altered state, it will be very easy to achieve this on your own without the hypnotherapist. This is really the beginning stages of learning how to meditate, going within and quieting the mind. Many studies have shown that your health and life improves through meditation and hypnosis. People are happier, handle life better, healthier and more connected to the flow of life, so life is just easier.
