Last week I asked my boy friend to hypnotize me and fix my problem of getting real scared by bugs. I got into deep relaxation and everything went well. I feel all relaxed on my bed and I don’t want to get out of hypnosis. After he fixed my problem, he suddenly said all these suggestions about having sex with him. I don’t know why but after he finished his hypnotic suggestions, I just feel I wanted to have sex with him and I love him more than ever. He slowly strip off my cloth and he got over me and strip himself too. This is when I snapped out of hypnotize, but I still felt extremely excited about having sex with him, and you know what happened next.
I don’t know how this happened but now, I still feel the same as that night. I love him very much and I do kind of want sex with him, but know I felt that I want to have sex with him every single night. Can any one explain this to me about this and how can I get back to normal again???

If you have never thought of hypnosis as soul food then it’s time to step back and see it from a different angle. Most people who know a little bit about this art appreciate that it is a natural state, a state of relaxation, and that it allows access to the inner workings of your mind, and thereby enables powerful and positive change; Change in terms of relief from tension or conflict, and also in terms of opening up a greater ability to succeed. All of this is food for the soul. Science shows us that as one relaxes in hypnosis chemicals are secreted from the brain which make us have a natural “feel good” factor, just as these same endorphins are stimulated when you feel sunlight upon your body. Hypnosis is, as the title suggests, a means of sunbathing for your soul.

I wear a bite guard and have for about 4 years. That’s fine but I still have the habit and I can feel the fallout in my jaw, neck, and shoulder. I take calcium, magnesium, and potassium every day for muscle relaxation. I don’t clench during the day, only when I’m asleep. I do have OCD but I’m not willing to take psych meds for anxiety (I’m doing great with CBT for behaviors). I don’t have any unusual stressors in my life.
I’ve looked at the various devices on the market and they don’t seem very useful for most people. I won’t get Botox shots – period.

theory suggests that individuals are “playing a role” and that really there is no such thing as hypnosis. A relationship is built depending on how much rapport has been established between the “hypnotist” and the subject. Could this be the same as a vicar and a congregation, each person “plays along” through subconcious peer pressure?
Generally, during the communication process people can become more receptive to suggestion, causing changes in the way they feel, think, and behave. Some psychologists such as Robert Baker claim that what we call hypnosis is actually a form of learned social behavior, a complex hybrid of social 1.compliance,
2.relaxation,
3.suggestibility that can account for many esoteric behavioral manifestations

Hypnosis can have various applications that can enhance health and change bad or negative habits. In this article, I wish to concentrate on self-hypnosis, which can be likened to a form of creative daydreaming. Self-hypnosis becomes your servant when used to control emotions and habits as opposed to you being at the mercy of your emotions. By imagining a goal or outcome, you increase your likelihood of achieving that goal.
Some common areas where self-hypnosis can be useful are smoking cessation, weight management, and sports enhancement. While using hypnosis, you can imagine all the benefits you will receive from giving up smoking such as better health, more energy, more money, whiter teeth and cleaner breath, just to name a few. If you want to lose weight, you will need to imagine yourself in better health, with more energy, more sex appeal, a better self image and pride in your appearance. Motivational goals, to enhance sports, is also a frequent subject of self-hypnosis. Imagine yourself hitting the ball, or powering up a hill on your skis, or crossing the finish line in the twenty mile marathon.

Many people have heard about the benefits hypnosis can have in assisting people with all sorts of addictions, vices and other personal issues. Not everyone, however, is willing to take the plunge and try this unusual, but generally well-regarded technique. For these people, free self hypnosis can be a great stepping stone, and it can even be all that’s necessary to get the job done.

I live in constant, intense pain, every day! I have: 90-degree Scoliosis, Spinal Stenosis (so extensive, docs are shocked I’m not paralyzed!), and multiple Cancers (starting when I was just 8 months-old!). I’ve been thru almost every type of pain management out there: massage, acupuncture, spa therapy, stretching exersizes, muscle relaxers, relaxation techniques, meditation, heat pad, pain clinics, pain medications, and am at the limitations of what my doctor will prescribe. Hope is gone, and I’m seriously thinking about sucide at this point. (Which is hard for me, because of my faith. But when pain consumes your body, IT is in control! I don’t live my life, I survive it! You don’t get by day-by-day, but minute-by-minute!!) I’m tired of suffering like this, and am so desperate I’m researching “out there” pain control methods I’m hearing about, such as: snake venom, cone snail toxin, and hypnosis. ANYone hear about these? Anyone have any helpful suggestions for me?! Please, help me!!!

You guys do realise that this fact is not confined to Christians dont you?? (This is in response to another user tonight stating Christians are healthier).
Any group who has a belief in any kind of higher power displays better health. Also, this has been observed in those who meditate and undergo hypnosis. When we pray, meditate or enter any state of deep relaxation our brain receives health benefits…but this is in NO WAY exclusive to Christians…through relaxation or meditation, atheists receive the same.
And yes, people benefit from the community often provided through church…as they do through other non-religious types of community…
do not be fooled…you dont have to be a Christian for this!!
…@ question….NO it has not. It has been proven ANYONE who meditites/prays is healthier. THAT is my point.
Ade…read any first year University level psychology text book and you will find references abound.
Dogstar…Burton, Western and Kowalski…Wiley. 2nd ed.2009.
I do not use their web site, but I believe there is one. As I said, any first year text book will help you.
Dogstar…same as above.
FYOP…my point exactly.

Self hypnosis is great as a tool for self improvement. When you learn self hypnosis, you may end up surprised at how easy it is to master, and at the same time it makes so many things so much easier.
