<p>If you are interested in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, you may have wondered what the difference is between the two. Well, actually they are pretty much the same thing. Whether you call it hypnosis or hypnotherapy, the practice uses relaxation, concentration, and focused attention to reach a state of heightened awareness. With help from a trained hypnotist, the person who is in this state, which some call a trance, can focus on particular thoughts or issues.</p>
<p>Through mental concentration and physical <a href="http://hypnosis-info.info">relaxation hypnosis</a> helps people explore their unconscious. It may help them address feeling or memories that are too painful to think about consciously. Individuals can be hypnotized by a trained hypnotist or they can learn the technique and hypnotize themselves through a process called self-hypnosis.</p>

<p>Hypnosis may help people deal with pain control, overeating, fears, anxiety, sleeping disorders, depression, grief, smoking, stress, post-traumatic stress, and depression. Hypnotherapists help their clients gain insights, eliminate negative feelings, develop healthy habits, discover causes of problems, reduce limiting beliefs, and strengthen self-control. Hypnosis counselors can help people overcome alcoholism and drug addiction. As an alternative medicine therapy, hypnosis can help improve overall health and wellness. </p>
<p>Hypnotists may specialize. They may also have a more general hypnosis practice. </p>
<p>Hypnosis is not a dangerous practice. Counter to common myths, hypnotherapy cannot make people do things they do not want to do. Hypnosis is neither brain washing nor mind control. As used these days it is more of a counseling technique for people with acute or chronic problems.</p>
<p>Magicians and comedians of days gone by pretended to use hypnosis to make people do embarrassing, unsafe, or uncharacteristic things. These antics were misrepresentations and distortions of techniques that serve helpful purposes and are not actually used for nefarious purposes. Unfortunately such jokes are what many people think of when they think of hypnosis.</p>
<p>Hypnotherapists typically use hypnosis as one of many tools for helping people. As of 2008, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, and Washington are the only three states that have mandatory licensing or registration of hypnotists. While California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and Utah do not require licensing or registration, but they do have regulations that govern the practice of hypnosis. </p>
<p>Many schools offer training in hypnosis. The American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE) certifies hypnosis schools in the United States. ACHE also certifies hypnotists. ACHE certification requires 300 hours of instruction from one of its approved schools. ACHE is a non-profit organization that has taken the lead in the recognition and regulation of hypnotherapy training in the U.S. Hypnosis career training programs must be approved or licensed by state agencies as required by the individual states. In 1976, the Hypnotism Training Institute of Los Angeles became the first state-licensed hypnotherapy institute in the U.S. Currently there are online as well as residential schools of hypnosis in this country.</p>

<p>Are you suffering from waking up during the night and cannot go back to sleep back? Are you tossing and turning in bed trying to sleep and forcing yourself to keep your eyes open without any result? Too much thinking? Your body is like a symphony orchestra. In the orchestra there are many instruments and the instrument sometimes needed to be fine tuned. </p>
<p>Imagine a violin going out of tune and the piano losing its rhythm. After re-tuning the instruments, they are back to playing with full power and compliment the orchestra beautifully. Thus the music is magic! Likewise, the body works in a similar way. Sleeping time is very important for us. During our sleep, our body instruments (digestive system, muscular system, reproductive system, cardiovascular system) are refreshing up. When you are sleepless, the parts in your body can&#8217;t recharge. You get tired and the consequences can be fatigue and physical illness as well. Note that a sleep disorder is not a problem; they are just a temporary symptom or consequence from your current problems you are facing in life. They can be things like stress, anxiety, guilt, sadness and many other negativities. Hi! When I was in high school (early 2000s), my psychology teacher had a progressive muscle relaxation tape/<a href="http://hypnosis-info.info">hypnosis tape</a> which he would occasionally treat us to. It was very soothing and wonderful. It was a woman&#8217;s voice, and I can still hear her saying, &#8220;Now feeling any stress or tension in your feet, your ankles, or your calves [insert any body parts]&#8230;just breathe it in [i think is what she said here]&#8230;and release it now&#8230;&#8230;..letting go&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8221; There was also soothing zen music in the background. I know this is vague and it is difficult to describe sounds in type, but if anyone happens to know of this particular tape that would be INCREDIBLE; I am suffering from stress related insomnia and feel like this would be very helpful. Otherwise, if you know of any sleep hypnosis/stress hypnosis/progressive muscle relaxation tapes with a woman&#8217;s voice I would really appreciate it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NLP anchoring provides a very effective method for stacking and anchoring our past resources and positive experiences. We can call upon these resources whenever we need them for golfing excellence.</p>
<p>The round of golf I played a few days after my first NLP course sums up my experience of using resource anchoring to build and hold together a really good round of golf. I was just so calm and composed. Despite not hitting the ball that well, I hit 16 of the first 17 holes in regulation and hit a long drive up the middle on 18. That&#8217;s when I suddenly realised what was happening and I started thinking “all I need is a par” to have my best round here. I completely lost it for 3 awful shots then suddenly remembered about my NLP skills and got back in the zone and almost holed a tricky shot from the over the back of the green.</p>
<p><span id="more-1982"></span></p>
<p>This article takes that idea a lot further by providing a self-hypnosis script that installs that concept in your unconscious. That makes sure that you don&#8217;t have to consciously remember to use your anchor whenever you need it. Your unconscious is programmed to make it happen.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m making the big assumption here that you know how to take yourself into hypnosis &#8211; If you do, then you know what to do with the script below. If you don&#8217;t, then find someone to help you or learn how to do it for yourself or just give it a try &#8211; what have you got to lose?.;</p>
<p>Assuming that you&#8217;re relaxed, and whether you&#8217;ve formally taken yourself into hypnosis or you&#8217;re just sitting there relaxed, just continue with these words:</p>
<p>Now relax as you travel through all those wonderful golfing experiences in your memory and your imagination. Relaxing more and more, as you are seeing those courses and imagining talking with those friends and golfing partners &#8211; the people who make your golfing experience so good. If you&#8217;re not familiar with self-hypnosis, just relax, switch off the phone, turn down the light and just quietly read these words slowly to yourself.</p>
<p>And as you see all those wonderful golf courses, you are building an image of the most wonderfully relaxing golf course. And I don&#8217;t know if you are imagining your perfect golf course and clubhouse or if you are remembering your favourite one, while you are relaxing deeper and deeper and more and more contentedly into the armchair in your favourite clubroom. After a few moments relaxing there, you see a door and realise that it&#8217;s the door of the locker room and when I count to four, you&#8217;re going to step through it.</p>
<p>Relax more deeply and allow your mind to drift down to golfing heaven as one… two… three… Four! You open the door and step through and as you look around, you see your friend and playing partners and as they greet you warmly, you feel a warm glow of relaxing confidence as you know, just know deeply, that you are going to have the most wonderfully relaxing game of golf ever.</p>
<p>As you look around, you see another door and realise that it&#8217;s the door to your locker, even if you don&#8217;t have a locker, and as you count from one to four, you reach forward happily and expectantly to open the door and look inside, knowing there are some powerful messages there for you.</p>
<p>And as a result, you relax even more and allow your mind to drift down, as one… two… three… Four! You open the door and find your golf clubs, the clubs that remind you and fuel your imagination of all the golfing abilities you use to get the most out of &#8211; your rounds of golf: your relaxed grip, the stance that provides the relaxed balance and stability to your swing and that wonderful tempo that smoothly swishes the club through to a perfect finish. And most importantly, you are relieved to find those most reassuring course management skills that let you get the most out of your mind as you play.</p>
<p>As your mind wanders, you look deeper and deeper down into the locker and notice a special journal, real or imaginary, and when you count to four, you are going to pick up and open that book.</p>
<p>One…two…three…fore! And you open that special journal, the storehouse of all your most wonderful golfing memories; the greatest shots you have ever played and imagined. The memories wash over you and imbue you with a feeling of more and more relaxed confidence.</p>
<p>And as you step out onto the first tee, taking out your driver, planning the shot carefully and preparing to repeat the best driver shot that you have ever played or imagined. When you&#8217;re ready you step forward into your stance, you see the ball there glowing white and illuminating the area where you take your stance. It doesn&#8217;t matter now if the ball is on a tee or sitting on the tee, as you step into the glow, take your stance, swing smoothly and watch the ball sail perfectly down the fairway or to the green. And as your friends and playing partners congratulate you and you feel a warm relaxing feeling of contentment well up inside you, you bring your hands gently together into your grip and gently squeeze your hands on the club as you hang on to the wonderful feelings for a few moments, before stepping out of your stance and the residual glow from the ball, a s you feel yourself putting the club back into the bag. That&#8217;s right.</p>
<p>Now, you are surveying a long fairway wood shot into a distant green and you take out your fairway wood, plan the shot carefully and prepare to repeat the best fairway wood shot that you have ever played or imagined. And as you step forward into your stance, you see the ball there on the fairway glowing white and illuminating the area where you take your stance. I t doesn&#8217;t matter now if the shot is over bunker or lake, or whether it&#8217;s a more straightforward shot, as you step into the glow, take your stance, swing smoothly and watch the ball sail perfectly onto the green. And as your friends and playing partners congratulate you and you feel a warm relaxing feeling of contentment well up inside you, you bring your hands gently together into your grip and gently squeeze your hands on the club, as you hang on to the wonderful feelings for a few moments, before stepping out of your stance and the residual glow from the ball. Before putting the club back into the bag. That&#8217;s wonderful … great golf is so relaxing.</p>
<p>Further into the round, you are facing a mid-iron shot into a smallish green, it doesn&#8217;t matter if it&#8217;s a 5, 6 or 7-iron that you&#8217;re choosing. You are relaxed and confident as you plan the shot carefully and prepare to repeat the best iron shot that you have ever played or imagined. And as you step forward into your stance, you see the ball there glowing white on the fairway and illuminating the area where you take your stance. And it doesn&#8217;t matter if you plan to land the ball gently by the flag or caress it and let it run up there smoothly. As, you step into the glow, you take your stance, swing smoothly and watch the ball sail perfectly onto the green and finish really close to the hole. And as your friends and playing partners congratulate you and you feel a warm relaxing feeling of contentment well up inside you, you bring your hands gently together into your grip and gently squeeze your hands on the club as you hang on to the wonderful feelings for a few moments, before stepping out of your stance and the residual glow from the ball, putting the club back into the bag. You just know that&#8217;s how a great golfer plays mid-irons.</p>
<p>You&#8217;re now on one the large undulating greens, looking over a longish putt. And it doesn&#8217;t really matter if you are planning to play the putt, gently taking all the borrow and letting the ball just drop slowly into the hole or if you are taking a more direct route, as you confidently plan the putt and prepare to repeat the best putt you have ever played or imagined. And as you step forward into your stance, you see the ball there glowing white on the green and illuminating the area where you take your stance. As, you step into the glow, you take your stance, putt the ball smoothly and watch it roll steadily and unerringly into the hole, as you punch the air in delight. And as your friends and playing partners congratulate you and you feel a warm relaxing feeling of contentment well up inside you, you bring your hands gently together into your grip and gently squeeze your hands on the club as you hang on to the wonderful feelings for a few moments, before stepping out of your stance and the residual glow from the ball, putting the putter back in the bag. Tiger woods dreams of moments like this. Doesn&#8217;t he?</p>
<p>Now, imagine your next round of golf. It doesn&#8217;t matter if it&#8217;s next weekend or some other time in the future. And as you prepare to play each and every shot or putt, you see the glow of the ball on the ground illuminating the area of your stance and when you are ready to take the shot, you step into the glow, take your stance, feel the relaxing glow all around you, and as you bring your hands gently together into your grip, gently squeeze your hands together on the club, remembering all those feelings of relaxed confidence and elation. And you hit the best shot ever, continuing in this way and completing the best round of golf you have ever played.</p>
<p>Now&#8217;s the time to thank your unconscious mind for this self-hypnosis experience and ask that part of you to repeat this wonderful experience for you with every shot and round of golf that you play.</p>
<p>And as you emerge from self-hypnosis, in your normal way or by counting up from 1 to 5, you just know now that your golf is improving and more confident every time you play.</p>

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation which is natural and normal. In fact, hypnosis is the dream like state which you experience as you drift off to sleep each night.</p>
<p>We are all familiar with a time when you just cannot remember a person&#8217;s name no matter how hard you try to do so, and yet later, when you have stopped trying, that name miraculously pops into your mind, seemingly from nowhere. Another phenomenon which most of us will have experienced is that of going to sleep at night with a problem on one&#8217;s mind and the answer seems to just appear upon waking in the morning. </p>
<p><span id="more-1974"></span></p>
<p>This is not just co-incidence; it is a result of how our brains are hard-wired. As you relax your brain waves change from the beta waves of normal waking consciousness to the alpha-theta wave pattern of relaxation and dreaming. When you dream you are in an REM state (Rapid Eye Movement). The purpose of the REM state is that of conflict resolution. Our brains are hard-wired to resolve conflicts each night as we dream. Everyone dreams, even if you do not think that you do; if you did not, you would very quickly become psychotic. </p>
<p>With hypnosis you can intentionally create this state of mind which is designed for conflict resolution and find your own pathways to change. If there are things which you thought previously that you just could not do, then you will find hypnosis allows you to take a step back and see things from a different, and more positive, angle. Your creative mind comes to the fore whilst in hypnosis. Nearly all famous inventors have been reported as saying that their best ideas and solutions to their major conundrums came to them whilst in a state of semi-sleep; hypnosis. Hypnosis is indeed the facilitator of change and progress. </p>
<p>Hypnosis does not just allow you to think in a different way. Hypnosis paves the way for changes in behavior as well, because every behavior springs from the way in which you think. <p>Another client had a fear of sleeping alone. She had just lost her husband. They had been married for thirty years. And often times, this &#8220;mistaken&#8221; common belief about and the use of hypnosis are to get or induce someone or a group of people to speak out or behave foolishly for stage entertainment purposes. In this article, we will learn more about self hypnosis and explore ways to achieve life enrichment and personal success through brainwave frequency techniques (i.e., utilizing the theta brainwave pathway to the subconscious). Conjuring images of elaborate stage shows with unsuspecting ordinary people making a fool of themselves, hypnotism has been seen as a joke, or entertainment for decades. Although conventional medicine may still be a little skeptical as to the effectiveness of alternative treatments like hypnosis, there are hundreds of thousands of success stories around the world in favor of these alternative methods.  By conducting the mind of the patient (or victim?) in a state of total relaxation, the hypnotist can change the pattern of thought, for example to turn a patient off smoking cigarettes.  It is thought that whilst the mind is reduced to this placid, almost semi-conscious state, the hypnotist can access the inner most anxieties and feelings of the patient to make a permanent change to their mental well-being.</p>

Before starting on self hypnosis, you need to know the steps on how to do it properly. You should also be in the right type of environment when doing self hypnosis. Set up a schedule for practice time and keep records of your self hypnosis attempts. You will need a comfortable place to lie or sit down; a quiet and peaceful environment, and the willingness and ability to follow instructions. </p>

-	Once you&#8217;ve reached a point of extreme relaxation, start addressing your main concern or goal and use the present tense. Use positive words and repeat your statement as many times as you want.</p>

-	As soon as you are done, slowly count up to 10 and ease yourself back into a normal state of relaxation. Allow yourself to have a few minutes before opening your eyes.</p>

Come up with the right kind of suggestions and use them during self hypnosis and at any other times of the day. You can also try auto questioning. <p>Nobody comes into the world lacking in confidence.  Such self-perceptions develop over time, largely as a result of life experiences; what happened in the past, interpretation of those events and the nature of the emotions around the stored memories of those events.</p>

<p>Whatever the causes, the symptoms of low self-confidence can be severe.  At a physical level, the state of high alert that results from not feeling confident in a given situation, typically stimulates the internal fight or flight response, releasing detrimental stress hormones, creating breathlessness, tension, reddening of the face, shaking, sweating and so on.  Low self-confidence also affects a person at a cognitive level, encouraging negative, self-defeating thinking; at an emotional level, often leaving people feeling depressed, weak, unworthy; and, at a behavioural level, constraining choices and opportunities, ultimately influencing work, relationships, success and overall enjoyment of life.  </p>
