What is causing my insomnia?

Ok, so I’ve been suffering from insomnia pretty much all my life. Not really sure when it started but definitley when I was still in school. I’m in my 20′s now. I’ve tried everything, from meditation, hypnosis, even books. I don’t worry, sress or get angry. I’m totally down to earth. I will feel tired but as soon as I get into my bed and try to get cozy I wake up again?

My biological mother left me with her alcoholic mother when I was two weeks old. I have been adopted twice, abused in every way possible, lost my daughter, attempted suicide multiple times. I know some things happened to me, but I have blocked them out. I can’t remember what happened when, and have lost huge chunks of time out of my life. I am currently on Cymbalta, and Gabatril, and am not suicidal. I am in therapy, but I’m kind of scared to really talk about things, because I am afraid to remember what really happened. I have enormous anxiety which gives me panic attacks and insomnia. Would hypnosis help? Or should I stop seeing my therapist and leave it all buried even though it affects my every day life? Is there anyone who can help me with this issue please?

Please help. Does anyone know a cure for insomnia?

I have not had a decent nights sleep in months. I have tried various techniques and books, hypnosis tapes, herbal remedies and have even got pills from my doctor, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone found anything that works for them? Your help would be much appreciated.

Sleep is important for an individual’s body to function, mature, and heal itself after an injury. The majority of researchers find that adults need between six and eight hours of sleep nightly. A number of people, however, are unable to manage this. Almost 20 million Americans alone experience significant difficulty sleeping nightly.

Five Ways Anybody Can Benefit From Hypnosis

To many people hypnosis seems exotic, mysterious, maybe even a bit mystical. Therefore it is difficult for many to connect with hypnosis, and to understand how they can personally benefit from hypnosis. Hypnosis is not mystical, and it is only mysterious when you don’t know how it works–much like any other skilled profession.

ok 4 days ago i stayed awake for 48 hours, slept total of 4 hours after that (on and off, kept waking up) been awake since then again which so far has amounted to a day and a half, almost 48 hours again. every time i get in bed i CANNOT sleep. i dont know why, maybe my consciousness is over stimulated or thinking too much. i dont know. i laid in bed all night tossing and turning and getting so frustrated to the point where i even cry cuz i just lose hope in sleep. is this ‘i cant sleep’ just in my head or am i having severe insomnia issues or maybe chronic fatigue syndrome? what can i do to get a decent nights sleep from now on without ever worrying about insomnia again? this happens to me at least twice a month where i stay up days on end. HELP!

i have tried so far: yoga, meditation, self hypnosis, hot baths, tea, cold room, warm room, reading, no caffiene before bed or meals, counting backwards etc and so on. and i would prefer drug/pill free answers as i don’t take them. thank you to any one that can help me or give advice.

Stop insomnia hypnosis is a viable approach to quit your insomniac habits. This approach uses the mind in a trance state as a vehicle to lull you into a restful sleep. Hypnotic exercises can be completed at your convenience and in the comfort of your own home. You don’t have to visit a hypnotherapist in person or go to a hypnotherapy clinic in order to achieve mind control.
