Simply put, hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness characterized by heightened susceptibility to suggestion. The first step on your path to mastering hypnosis is learning how to induce hypnosis in individual subjects. This is one of the most important skills you will acquire and its mastery is fundamental to your further development as a hypnotist.
The successful induction of hypnosis always begins with consent. The subject may make this acceptance consciously or unconsciously. In either case, the net result is the same, the subject “expects” to be hypnotized.

Did you know that you can employ self hypnosis strategies to form positive changes in your life? You may use hypnosis to change your thought patterns and subconscious mind so that you become more open to switch and ideas. You can learn how to dispose of bad habits. You can discover how to lose the shackles of fear and anxiety. Thousands of people around the world use self hypnosis systems to lose weight, stop smoking, conquer their fears, and more.
There are a lot of misapprehensions surrounding hypnosis. It is due to these misgivings that the majority of the people don’t allow this method to be applied on them. The majority of the people have an idea that under hypnotism, they lose their control. A person under hypnotic state surrenders its control to the hypnotist just when the person selects to do so. That implies, the choice and control is with the person undergoing hypnotic state. It is up to you to give your control to the hypnotist and can snap out of hypnosis at any point by choosing to take back that control when you so desire. But when it comes to be under self-hypnotism, you needn’t give up control to any other person.

Conversation hypnosis is, without any doubt, one of the most powerful of all hypnosis techniques to learn. There are several very specific and significant reasons for this. The main one is its use in daily life; there isn’t an area of hypnosis that conversation hypnosis is even close to being rivalled with on that significant point.
Typical examples of where conversation hypnosis has helped people come out on top of a situation include areas such as:

This article makes a convincing case that Obama’s speeches are intentionally crafted to lull the critical conscious mind , so that suggestions can be asserted to the subconscious w/o critical thought intervening. I’ve noticed that I get sleepy when hearing him, and his speeches seem devoid of reasoned arguments – which would re-awaken the critical mind. I was skeptical at first (maybe just great oratory), but the article makes a good case that the hypnotic effects are intentional. what do you think?

Subliminal hypnosis is a sub-field of hypnosis that not a lot of people know much about. It’s a whole different kettle of fish than stage hypnosis, or clinical hypnosis used in therapy (for example in weight loss hypnosis or hypnosis for stopping smoking, which are rather well known nowadays).
n fact, subliminal hypnosis is much more appropriate for a beginner to learn because of the wide variety of areas in life that it proves useful.

I’ve heard a lot about self hypnosis stuff, and I have even found specific hypnosis techniques for curing things like nail biting, smoking, shyness, and other common “bad habits”. But I have a sexual fetish that I would rather just kick out of my life. I mean, it’s not hurting me or anyone else, but it is something that I have kept secret for my entire life and I would be devastated if anyone found out. Is there any professional therapy or hypnosis treatment that anyone knows about for this kinda thing? I’m willing to do anything it takes! I’m also curious to know if anyone else has attempted to cure a sexual fetish.

I’m interested in ways to use the mind through meditation, hypnosis, etc., for healing myself. Any sources and/or success stories would be great. I have seen the Silva method of meditation – anyone know if that works? Thank you.

It’s amazing how easy it is for some people to grasp the concepts of conversational hypnosis techniques so quickly. And I’m not just talking about adults. Children are also beginning to understand how to make these strategies work for them!
Some figure out how to use conversational hypnosis techniques on their own while others get help from grown-ups. In this case, it’s a situation that had a little outside help.
