Article by Nathalie Fiset M.D.

Using hypnosis to relax and to release any stress and tension during pregnancy and birth is not simply a matter of babying yourself but it is actually good for you and your baby. Although some people have weird concepts on hypnosis whether during pregnancy or on the actual birthing process, this technique is actually one of the most effective ways for you to experience a healthier and more comfortable pregnancy and to help intensify that satisfying experience of giving birth while maintaining a relaxed body. So, make your pregnancy and birth more comfortable for you, here is hypnosis to the rescue!

First Trimester

Hypnosis in early pregnancy is a very useful relaxation tool. This is designed mainly to facilitate “focused concentration”. It is a learned response to the mind which will enable you to achieve your desired outcome like anxiety or pain control. Since first trimester discomforts like nausea or morning sickness, unusual tiredness, and emotional highs and lows can leave you feeling restless, uncomfortable, and anxious, hypnosis can be used to help you relax and release the tension or stress that you are feeling. In most cases, within one or two sessions, you will notice that the feelings of nausea already subsided. But not only that, your baby benefits as well. When your baby is monitored, you will be glad to know how relaxed the baby is even at this early stage of pregnancy.

Second Trimester

Unlike in the first trimester, the second trimester of pregnancy is relatively uneventful. So, during this time, you are given in depth understanding on how hypnosis can help you during the third trimester and the actual birthing process. This also gives the hypnotherapist ample time to increase depth of trance and teach self-hypnosis.

Third Trimester

When you enter the third trimester, you will feel more minor discomforts as compared to the previous stages of pregnancy. From heartburn, hemorrhoids, backache, headaches, aching joints, blood pressure, fluctuation in temperature, up to aching of the breasts, all these discomforts will leave you feeling more tired and uneasy because of the increased weight as the baby grows. But then again, there is hypnosis to the rescue! Hypnosis can help control all these discomforts and in most cases, completely remove them. And by also using this technique, your mind will be kept occupied using visualization of the birth without pain, on which your perception of the contractions are altered from painful and prolonged to enjoyable tingling sensations in preparation for birth.

Birth

After nine months of waiting, your most awaited moment has finally arrived – the birth of your baby. But before you can actually see and touch your baby for the first time, you have to go through the pain of labor and delivery. Again, hypnosis comes to the rescue! This technique provides relaxation and relief from pain and fear.

In hypnosis, each contraction during the height of labor can serve as cue for you to go into a deep state of relaxation. Instead of feeling tensed during labor due to reactions to increasing pressure, pain, and anxiety, hypnosis will help you focus on positive feelings like excitement and joy to parenthood and your love for the baby which is gradually coming out. You must know that there is joy and fulfillment in childbirth and hypnosis will help you achieve this by providing relaxation.

Hypnosis can also empower you to eliminate tension and anxiety, which in turn relaxes the muscles of your uterus, thereby finding relief from pain and fear. With this technique, your mind can be kept occupied to other things, a part of which can be enjoying the beach as if you are floating in the water, while another part can hear every word and direction that is given to you during the process and participate on this in comfort and harmony. By simply imagining that you are on a vacation and that you are daydreaming while in fact you are really going through labor, you will realize later on that your labor seem so short and giving birth becomes a wonderful and pleasant experience.

Pregnancy and birth could really become more relaxing with hypnosis to the rescue. With your mind set towards a more positive direction, you will experience the more pleasing aspects of pregnancy and birth rather than the painful ones.

Article by John Hartley

It is important to understand that we don’t always “feel” emotions in the way we may think that we do. Our efforts to protect ourselves from being hurt emotionally can cause lots of trouble since our mind and body find other ways or expressing the suppressed emotions. Hypnosis can unlock these secrets and re-program the mind in positivism. Hence, control stress hypnosis by weeding out the bad and suppressed hurt feeling that is deeply buried in the sub-conscious.

Hypnosis is the process by which an altered state of mental consciousness is induced that allows constructive suggestions directly to the subconscious mind. By giving constructive suggestions to the subconscious mind, control stress hypnosis helps.

Disorder due to stress is characterized by insomnia, irritability, impatience, restlessness, hyperactivity-sweating, increased palpitations, light-headedness, high resting pulse and respiratory rate, fatigue, stomach upset, lump in the throat, pervasive, persistent anxiety, worry, thoughts, or anticipation of misfortune to self or others. You can use control stress hypnosis, to root out the underlying factors behind its symptoms.

Anxiety is different from that of panic and fear, in that anxiety is a chronic state of arousal, where panic and fear is sudden, and an acute state. If you suffer from anxiety you will mostly complain of not being able to concentrate or poor memory. Here hypnosis is utilized to significantly reduce anxiety disorders through the use of relaxation, and using visualization techniques to overcome exaggerated fearful thought processes. You will need a referral by a physician for this therapy.

Hypnosis to reduce anxiety

Control stress hypnosis is a very powerful tool for curing anxiety. Through hypnosis, your subconscious mind can be trained to respond more to rational judgment than to imaginary fear. Hypnosis anxiety treatment treats the cause of anxiety and not the symptoms.

Stress results from a psychological and biological reaction to a perceived threat. A stress response includes an increase in blood pressure, pulse rate, energy levels, mental activity, and muscle strength. If stress is not dealt with while it is at a low level, the symptoms of stress can escalate to cause other problems such as anxiety and depression.

The control stress hypnosis process teaches you how to bring the body into a relaxed state. By experiencing the deep relaxation of a hypnotic state, the body learns to relax. You will feel more rested, energetic, and you will find the sleep becoming deeper and more peaceful. As you begin to feel better physically, your thinking will become clearer, and your reactions to stressful situations will be calmer. As you learn to control, the response to stress triggers, your emotions will be more controlled as well, and you will begin to experience a greater sense of peace and serenity no matter what circumstances in which you may find yourself. Hypnosis helps reduce anxiety and stress by teaching your body and mind to cope, change and adapt to whatever situation may arise in your life. This, by itself, is the key to successful stress management.

Rex Truman is a writer who has studied hypnosis, and shares his findings with people who want to know more about this therapy at http://www.hypnosis-selfhypnosis.com

Question by Ahmad and malookie: has anyone ever got cured from hypnosis for anxiety or cbt 100 percent?
i would like to do hypnosis for my panic disorder and GAD but was wondering if it would even cure it. aldo will Cognitive behavioral therapy work for me if the panic away stuff didn’t work for me . i feel hopeless please no ask your docter or phystrits. i have had this for 3 years i cant go on meds beacsue i dont want to relie on them.

Best answer:

Answer by Jared
Of course. However it is subjective so hard to put in an empirical form. Everyone will always have anxiety from time to time for their entire lives. Anxiety is a normal human emotion — it is just excess anxiety for little to no reason that needs treatment.. which is your case.

CBT has a MUCH higher track record than hypnosis — but doing both certainly won’t hurt your chances.

Often people have their anxiety ‘reduced’ to a manageable level that doesn’t interfere with their daily function — which is the ultimate goal of treatment. 100% elimination of anxiety isn’t so much the goal. Generally when an anxiety disorder is reduced significantly it then becomes something that isn’t obsessed about at all.. and consequently the brain further adapts due to the person not being consumed with the anxiety and it further is reduced over time. Which essentially leads to what would be called a 100% success. CBT gives you coping mechanisms and ultimately works with our thought patterns that will structurally retrain the brain over a period of time to stop the anxiety at the source instead of ‘masking’. Medications are helpful for many cases — I recommend against the benzodiazepine family of medicines as their long term efficiency is poor — and those who rely on them daily for anxiety will eventually experience a need to increase dose, and have interdose withdrawal and elevated anxiety beyond the initial anxiety. It is just not very good for long term.

Some mild anti depressants can be very good long term to manage anxiety — and it is shown that combining such a medication with ‘therapy’ .. such as CBT has the highest success. Though being adamant about not taking medicine is perfectly fine and suits CBT very well. Also consider adding exercise several times a week to your lifestyle (if you don’t already) as this is proven to be extremely effective at combating anxiety, depression, and pretty much all mental illness not to mention the physical benefits.

Get in with a good Cognitive behavioral therapist and WORK the program often and have faith in it.. our brains are plastic (they aren’t hardwired) meaning if you provide new stimulus for a period of time it WILL invariably change in structure and neural connection/association. It isn’t QUICK, but over months and years huge changes can and do occur. So with that in mind, patience is the ultimate virtue needed for the highest level of recovery.

Good luck,

Article by R. Lions

The use of hypnosis has long been used as alternative for traditional medicine for almost everything. There are cases of it being used for physical treatments such as cancer and arthritis, but it is best known for having the most positive effects on mental illnesses such stress, anxiety and depression. Usually one would seek a specialist to perform hypnosis based on their specific needs. Work hypnosis is a long time tradition with a history of success and is probably the most common although it has been proven to work for a huge variety of disorders.

How Hypnosis Treats Anxiety

The use of hypnosis for anxiety is one of the best ways to deal with anxiety, even better than prescription medications. Anxiety can be classified as an almost debilitating disease as it can cause its sufferer to develop panic disorder and agoraphobia, among many other complications. The use of hypnosis will not only provide a comfort to the sufferer, but will also teach ways to overcome anxiety; including methods of breathing and utilizing guided imagery to train the mind to overcome the severe anxiety one feels.

The use of hypnosis is very much merely the first step of overcoming the symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety itself is based upon the minds ability to process regularly without any unnatural fears. Anxiety can be caused by an endless amount of things, as well as starting up on its own out of almost nowhere. There are innumerable cases of people calling 911 or their local hospital due to having their first panic attack, which is a completely new experience for them, as it causes the sufferer to experience something new that may be unrecognizable, and completely terrifying as it may cause one to think they are having a heart attack or that something that is going horribly wrong within their body to cause the severe disorientation they are feeling.

Hypnosis teaches the mind how to process the thoughts and feeling they are having, inevitably, if the hypnosis program is stuck with, it should not only provide a hypnotism effect on the person, but should have taught the sufferer to breathe properly through an anxiety attack. This proper breathing method is done by inhaling deeply through the mouth and then exhaling slowly through the nose.

It is imperative with any form of hypnosis, as well as for any sought out form of anxiety treatment to stick with it! Only attending one session, or even twenty sessions may not be enough. While it may be for some people, others may find it takes a weekly session or over 6 months worth of work to see any results. The case for every single individual is different. The number one rule to follow that is imperative to success in the use of hypnosis to ease and even rid of your anxiety is simply, to stick with it. It is just as any prescription medication. What good does it do if not taken daily? Exactly, success is only found through following through, which is inevitably the key to your success in anything.

Chronic anxiety happens when stress and anxiety are at a constantly high level. If not treated, chronic anxiety can lead to panic attacks, depression, and agoraphobia. Very often the person suffering finds that the anxiety greatly reduces their ability to function at work and in relationships. It’s hard to have fun and enjoy life when you’re suffering from chest pains, sweating, a racing pulse, and other symptoms of chronic anxiety. And you’re not alone; about 5% of the population suffer right along with you, with many more experiencing a high level of stress and anxiety.

Imagine you have a switch in your brain. When something causes you stress and anxiety, the switch is on, but most of the time it is off. When you suffer from chronic anxiety, that switch is always in the on position. There are ways you can learn to turn the switch off.

Hypnosis is a wonderful way to treat chronic anxiety for many reasons. First, it is an easy way to get to the root of your anxiety, to understand what’s causing it, and to change the way you perceive anxiety-inducing situations. Also, hypnosis in itself is a great way to relax. You can learn how to counter your anxiety symptoms. If, for example, you feel yourself getting hot when stressed and anxious, you can learn to automatically feel cool in stressful situations

Use hypnosis to gently reset your anxiety levels and become more relaxed in more situations

Do you ever feel that your thoughts and emotions control you, rather than the other way round?

Sometimes, you can feel as if something bad is about to happen for no apparent reason. As if you are about to have to do something, but you don’t know what.

This sort of general anxiety or fear is usually generated by an unconscious response to the ‘misuse’ of the imagination. Basically, the ‘back part’ of the mind is getting the message from the imagination that something bad is going to happen, and so creates a state of readiness in the mind and body: anxiety.

This can partly be due to experiences in the past, or a lack of an ability to tolerate uncertainty – not knowing what is going to happen, but whatever the reason, using anxiety hypnosis the mind can learn to relax and take things as they come.

And this is how this ‘hypnosis for anxiety and fear’ session works. Using hypnotherapy, anxiety melts away, enabling you to enter a calm and relaxed frame of mind. The unconscious mind can then learn to ‘re-set’ its responses to things back to normal, allowing you to enjoy every day with less anxiety, and more comfort.

I have mild depression, and anxiety that stems from irrational thoughts. I see a therapist once a week, and I am on the lowest dose (150mg) of Wellbutrin SR, once a day. The low dose of Wellbutrin, plus the therapy once a week have helped dramatically, but I still have a bit of trouble with the anxiety. While it’s not as bad as it was a couple months ago, I still find myself on edge and worried about irrational things quite often. I have close friends to talk to, a great supportive family, and I love where I’m at in my life, but I feel like this kind of cloud of anxiety that hangs out in the back of my mind is keeping me from being as happy as possible.
I also do self talk and deep breathing exercises, but they are not getting rid of the problem. I am ok with having some anxiety about giving a presentation or something normal, I know that that will never go away, but I can’t stand constantly worrying that some catastrophe is going to happen (the irrational thoughts).
So basically the question is…has anyone ever tried hypnosis for anxiety? I thought maybe it would help if when hypnotized, someone told me that my fears/worry were not real.
Has anyone done anything else that’s completely resolved their anxiety that I am not doing (self talk, exercise, music, writing, praying, therapy, staying busy with things I like, supportive friends and family, Wellbutrin, deep breathing)? I’d like to try to avoid increasing the meds, so any other suggestions would be great!

I would really appreciate real answers, and will definitely give 10 points to anyone who can suggest something from experience that really helped them, or can answer my questions about hypnotherapy.
Also, please no rude or stupid answers (ie: calm down, chill out).

Thanks Everyone!!
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I guess I forgot to note that I eat a pretty healthy diet, with lots of organic fruit, veggies, nuts, fish, lean turkey and chicken and whole grains. I also take flax seed oil, fish oil, multi vitamin and alpha lipoic acid.
I’m going to wait for a few more answers till I post a best, but I like the suggestions about the natural food/oils that I could add to my diet too. Thanks!
Wow..pupgranny and Brian are both the best answers. Brian those websites are great, and pupgranny, I plan on trying the juices and stuff you suggested. Thank you so much!

If your anxiety symptoms are taking over your life, especially at critical moments, you have probably considered ways to manage your anxiousness. Here is a brief run-down of various methods you can use, so you can better select the best way to address your anxiety attack symptoms. Dealing with Anxiety Attack Symptoms 1. Medicine It is possible to get prescription drugs that alleviate anxiety, as well as non-prescription, relatively mild products that address anxiety symptoms. However, there are some risks associated with medication, such as side effects and dependency. 2. Exercise Regular exercise helps to work off excess energy and tension. It also gives the person a feeling of accomplishment, particularly if they notice a marked improvement in their health, energy level, and appearance. Both anxiety and anxiety symptoms are, to an extent, addressed. 3. Relaxation/Meditation Many people conflate meditation and relaxation with exercise. However, meditative disciplines, such as yoga, are often much more than the assuming of various postures. They also involve a great deal of mental concentration and discipline. The focusing techniques you can learn in yoga can go a great deal towards freeing you from symptoms of mild anxiety attacks and other anxiety stress. Instead of letting small worries blow up into big, overwhelming issues, you can teach yourself to concentrate on what is truly important. 4. Deep Breathing This particular method definitely dovetails with meditation. After all, you probably know that breathing exercises form an integral part of yoga at all levels. However, it is possible to practice deep breathing exercises without necessarily learning mental exercises or philosophy. This could be a good option for people who do not believe that the meditative philosophies presented to them match well with their own belief system, but would still like to tackle their anxiety disorder symptoms. 5. Herbal Therapy Many cultures around the world have developed traditional herbal remedies going back hundreds of years. The European Wiccan tradition has survived to some extent. The Indian Ayurvedic system is perhaps much older and more organized. Herbs can be “taken” in a variety of ways. You can eat them, drink tea made from them, or inhale smoke from burned or smoked herbs. In some cases, you can procure doses easily. You might grow your own herbs, or buy products from your local aromatherapy shop. In other cases, such as in traditional Chinese medicine, a prescription from an expert is required. As with deep breathing, however, it often treats the anxiety symptoms, but not the underlying psychological and emotional roots of anxiety. 6. Therapy You may go for sessions with a psychiatrist and/or support group. Such sessions may be costly, particularly if you rely mainly on one-on-one sessions. However, they can go a long way towards locating, deconstructing, and dissecting the conscious and sub-conscious roots of your anxiety, not just your anxiety depression symptoms. Therapy might also help you uncover other underlying disorders and issues that are related to your anxiety. Hypnosis may or may not play a part in your therapy sessions. However, do be aware that therapy does place you in the hands of another person. Make sure that your therapist has a very good reputation and trustworthy ethics.

So seeing how its all mental wouldn’t it be logical to try hypnosis? I know of a website already that offers hypnosis and would like to know, honestly, if it works. I am not going to pay for this and it not work. And I can’t see a professional hypnotist there are none where I live. So has anyone had this done and it doing what it claims or should I just pass on it?

Natural ways are the best ways to treat anxiety. Treatments other than using drugs should be found by you as much as possible. Hypnotherapy is one of the natural ways for treating anxiety. Hypnotherapy is used to make your mind more relaxed. For creation of mood which is completely relaxed, thoughts which are positive are brought subconsciously. This treatment reportedly has no side effects as there are no chemicals or substances brought into the body.

Additionally, for relieving anxiety, hypnosis functions as an important factor for bringing in changes which results in relieving overall mental stress. People who have already undergone this treatment say that they desire to have diet which is healthy and they also want to exercise. Anxiety can be completely removed or minimized by hypnotherapy; this gives the person a positive frame of mind in which the person wants to live.

Herbal remedies are also an approach which is useful in the treatment of anxiety. The drugs made by man have side effects which are of serious and critical nature, whereas herbs mostly have effects which soothe the mind. Chamomile, kava kava, St. John’s Wort as well as ginseng are some of the herbs commonly used to treat anxiety.

A diet which is healthy and exercise of physical nature also helps in treating anxiety and these have no bad effects. When there is imbalance of bio-chemicals in the brain, anxiety is caused. Chemicals which are synthetic are used by the doctors mostly to cure it. Exercise done regularly and having healthy diet is the best way to treat anxiety, this is however suggested by history.

To start with the treatment of anxiety, having healthy diet consisting of fruits and vegetables is very good. You should also put an effort to completely eliminate consumption of toxins such as nicotine and caffeine. These have proved to be the major causes of hypertension and also increase the chances of getting prone to the disease. There is an improvement in circulation and also the digestive system becomes stronger by regular exercise.

Breathing techniques are useful in facing anxiety. Anxiety symptoms can be greatly reduced by the exercise program having breathing techniques. Cardio and yoga are the best anti anxiety exercises. Jogging, walking and cycling are helpful in reducing anxiety. Natural herbs and supplements are other remedies.

Fish oil is also useful for the treatment of anxiety. Vitamin B also helps you reduce the stress. Vitamin D is also beneficial as most of the Americans have vitamin D deficiency. Above were the best and simple ways of overcoming anxiety. By this, we can conclude that natural remedies or natural treatment is any time better than the treatment done by drugs, which may have side effects, where as herbal and natural treatments have no side effects, and they are useful in soothing the mind and also helpful in creating positivity.

There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the use of hypnosis techniques. Many people believe that hypnosis is a form of mind control and that it is, therefore, dangerous. Others believe that hypnosis has some very practical applications, especially in the medical and psychotherapy worlds. From helping people to quit smoking to lowering anxiety, hypnosis techniques have been used successfully in many ways. One of the less-frequently talked about areas of hypnosis, however, is erotic hypnosis. This type of hypnosis involves the use of hypnosis techniques in a sexual context in order to increase arousal and to intensify sexual relationships. There are erotic hypnosis techniques which have been found to be successful.

1. Words and Voice

Some of the most important elements of any type of hypnosis are the voice used to make suggestions and the words used. To increase arousal and intensify the pleasure of the partner you are hypnotizing, practice your “bedroom voice”, the voice you will use in hypnosis. The slower and softer you speak, the better, and once you get it right it may not matter what you are actually saying – the voice can be that effective.

2. Use Mini-Inductions

Rather than going for one long, drawn out hypnotic session, try for several mini-inductions. This method is much easier and, each time you do it, your partner’s trance will become deeper. There are many methods of induction, but you may want to try the Elman hypnotic induction to begin. Describe to your partner something they are feeling or seeing and ask them to visualize something erotic. Let your partner enjoy this for a few minutes, then fractionate and repeat the process – each time their trance will become deeper.

3. Let Your Partner

Fill in the Blanks Do not try to take control by using commands or suggestions until your partner is in a trance state. In order to increase your partner’s arousal and get them in to the right state, allow your partner to fill in the blanks with their own mind, using memories and experiences to increase their arousal. Ask questions which may elicit memories of a particular instance of intense arousal and allow your partner to respond.

Learning the techniques of erotic hypnosis can take time but there are many resources available on the internet. From how-to information to erotic poetry there are many things that can help you in your hypnotic endeavors. Remember to keep the safety of your partner in mind as you use hypnosis – never try to manipulate your partner or allow harm to come to them while they are in a trance state.

Learn erotic hypnosis secrets that will easily seduce any woman you want. Use there hypnosis techniques to your unfair advantage.

With the pressures of climbing the corporate ladder and just keeping up with the Jones’s, there are many things that are pushing us in life to succeed and achieve greater goals year on year. While really wanting to succeed and attain our goals we can stumble on some obstacles that may be barriers that keep up from making a success in life and reaching our goals. One example of this is a fear of public speaking; also known as public speaking anxiety. In a recent survey this phobia was put at number one as being the most severe fear that you could suffer from. Just to show you how bad it can be, the fear of death on the same survey came it at number seven!

As a ‘recovered’ sufferer of public speaking anxiety myself, I can empathize with people that are sufferers at the moment. The phobia itself is ‘all in the mind’ however it really does have a physical part to play too, allowing us to sweat, shake and get palpitations – sometimes even just thinking about it! I even remember reading a case history once of a young man in his twenties suffering a heart attack due to the stress and pressure that he was under with his public speaking anxiety. It really can cause a massive effect on the person that it is hounding.

Most sufferers will unfortunately just come to terms with it and allow it to limit them in future life choices such as getting a promotion at work or just giving an after dinner or best mans speech. If you do suffer from this condition you can think back now on just how many opportunities that you have missed out on due to this irrational fear. Some of you may have just tried facing it, only to make the phobia stronger after a failed attempt! Wherever you are at the moment – with the correct approach you can get the success that you both desire and deserve.

I help all of my clients that come to me for help with public speaking anxiety with hypnosis and self hypnosis. In fact in my clinic and with my downloads and my book I have helped thousands to overcome this fear with great success. Simply put – hypnosis reprograms the part of the brain that houses all of the behaviours and beliefs that make this phobia. This part of the brain is called the sub-conscious mind. Hypnosis works on every aspect of the phobia giving the client the results that they want and need.

              Stop Negative Thinking

Negative thinking has the power and impact to make all kinds of things extremely hard.

We all know we ought to be thinking more positively, avoiding negative thoughts. Some Negative thinking can be useful in assessing the potential pitfalls in a plan of action, Hypnosis can teach you how turn it on and off at will.

If not, negative thoughts can sabotage confidence, self belief, and limit your chance for attaining success.

Fear of Public Speaking

According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.

Public speaking – you’ll probably be familiar with the feeling… having worked for weeks, preparing your presentation, trying and ignore the nerves building up, you get on stage or rise to speak at a meeting and wham!

A Sahara dry mouth, blank mind (and expression) shaking limbs,… Everything in your body and mind is willing you to “run away!!!”. But you can’t.

Hypnosis can re-educate your brain to give the right sort of response for public speaking by:

getting rid of your old fear of public speaking
providing the right level of adrenalin and excitement
allow you to actually enjoy giving presentations and you may find public speaking can actually become something you enjoy!
Increase Motivation to Exercise

Sustaining that enthusiasm that initially gets you exercising again can be difficult. How do you summon the strength of will so your unconscious drive to exercise is strong enough that you never even ask yourself “Shall I exercise today?”

Having started and exercise plan do you find your motivation and interest beginning to wane, the urge to exercise flags and your willpower seems to seep away? Hypnosis can boost that unconscious drive so that exercise becomes a habit, helping you to stay motivated to exercise almost without thinking. And not forgetting the incredible health benefits of sustained exercise, quite apart from how good you look when you’re exercising regularly.

Get Control of Anxiety

Do you ever get the premonition, that strange, uncomfortable feeling that something bad is about to happen for no apparent reason? As if you are about to have to do something, but you don’t know what.

This type of trepidation or general anxiety is typically caused by an unconscious response a ‘misuse’ of the imagination if you like. Basically, part of the mind gets a message from the imagination that something bad appear to be about to take place, so creates in the mind and body a state of readiness: anxiety, hypnosis can block these anxiety messages, the mind can learn to relax and take things as they come.

Using relaxation techniques and visualisation can and focusing on a positive outcome will first of all reduce anxiety levels and with frequent use help eliminate them all together.

Building Self Confidence

Being short of self confidence stops you doing what you want in life. It can put a stop to you achieving all you could accomplish, and can even prevent you being the person you really are, or the person you aspire to be.

Through reflective relaxation and focused attention you can give your mind a confident ‘blueprint’ that will build your confidence levels instantly.

True confidence is being relaxed and self assured in as many different situations as possible. Hypnosis is astonishingly effective when you want to build self confidence quickly, quite simply the more situations you can relax in, the more generally confident you become.

For a number of years I’ve been interested, intrigued and fascinated by the subjects of Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and most recently Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Coming from a background of Psychiatric Nursing, I’m a certified Life Coach and Hypnotherapist incorporating NLP into my practice.

I revel in the euphoria of helping people overcome phobia, alleviate anxiety, subduing stress and conquering their fears.

Emphasising the positive raising a persons self-belief and instilling a sense of self-worth and self confidence, watching them leave a session with their head held high proud and self assured gives me great personal satisfaction.

I get a great deal of personal fulfilment through life coaching, assisting and advising others to attain their life goals and realise their destiny.
