Question by thebuffettour: Can a person’s body react against and have negative side affects from long term hypnotism?
I’ve been doing a self hypnosis weight loss tape for the past couple of weeks. The tape takes you through the steps to get into the relaxed state and then talks about eating less and how good it feels to lose weight and even goes into some situations like shopping for food. While I do notice that I eat less and eat better, I also feel really depressed and it seems like my body aches in my joints. Granted I realize that my body could be adjusting to the change in diet but I also wonder if for some reason my subconscious might be “fighting back” for lack of a better term. That maybe there is a deeper coping method with the food and my mind doesn’t really want to deal with it. Does that make sense?

Due to the confidential nature of the internet, many people are turning to it for answers and solutions to personal problems. People experiencing issues that are embarrassing or private, can turn to the web for help, but still keep it quiet from friends or relatives. Confidentiality is important in self help, but there is a new method of help that is taking this even farther – self help subliminal messages.
Subliminals are completely confidential. There is no audible content in subliminal messaging, and the visual messages are inconspicuous. This means you can play albums while you work and exercise. The messaging does not interfere with normal activities.

There are other ways that anxiety disorder sufferers can do on their own to treat their illness, such as the natural and non-drug remedies outlined in this article. While these remedies are not substitutes for professional opinions and treatments, they may be used in conjunction with or as a supplement to the therapy and medication that a doctor may already prescribe.
The purpose of using natural remedies and turning to self-help tips for the treatment of anxiety disorder is to give the patient a certain amount of control in dealing with this illness. Many natural remedies are also gentler and easier to integrate into everyday routines while also promoting overall bodily and mental health.
