Hypnotherapy Manchester
Hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does involve the induction of a trance-like condition, but while in this state of deep relaxation, the patient is actually in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating completely on the hypnotist\’s voice. In this state, the premeditated mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is revealed.
The therapist is able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations to the patient, the seeds of which become firmly planted.

Self-Help is a label which we are all very familiar with in this day and age. We walk into a book store and discover that the “self-help” section now stretches over an ever greater portion of the overall store. Self-help books abound. And there are too many self-help methods to even attempt to try and count them. Every magazine has a self-help section and even television programs are veering in the self-help direction.
For someone who is seeking help, it is all too easy to become completely confused as to which way to turn; which self-help method is right for you? The answer, in my opinion, is to go for the one which you have the greatest belief in. What you believe in and what you expect to work will indeed tend to do just that. Your expectations, in the majority of things in life, result in creating your reality. Your health, both emotional and physical, is no exception to this rule. We are, all of us, aware of the placebo effect, although few of us realize the extent to which it moulds our behavior and our lives.

There is no such thing as hypnosis. This is a proven fact. For instance, if you see someone become so rigid that they can be balanced with their head on one chair and their feet on another, and someone else can sit on them, it is perfectly normal. Hypnosis doesn’t exist. Conversational hypnosis doesn’t exist either. At this point you might be shaking your head a bit.
Milton Erikson and other well-known hypnotists used no swinging watches or blinking lights when they “hypnotized” people. They merely chatted. When he was called before the medical board for malpractice (he was using hypnosis, which of course, does not exist), after dismissing the case, the doctors on the review panel said they felt a bit woozy during the meeting, but they attributed it to having just eaten a big lunch.

I took a seminar on hypnosis a while back but have yet to commit to trying it on myself fully. I have a feeling I may be resisting this sub consciously(go figure!). I know it can work when done with a “client”, especially since there’s so much trust involved, but can it really alter deep subconscious misconceptions in oneself? Has anyone had any success hypnotizing yourself to facilitate profound changes in limiting beliefs and life long paradigms?

I believe fully in self hypnosis, though I do know that a real hypnotherapist is better, I still believe that self hypnosis can be just as good. Plus its less expensive, though it’ll take longer to work more than likely. I have read once before that it is best to make a tape using your own voice so that you can recognize it eaiser and the effects will often be greater.
So I am wondering, how do I make a self hypnosis tape, I mean how do I create a script, what are the boundaries, is it okay to listen to it as I sleep, how do I enter a trance, etc. Any help I would appreciate it.

If you feel that you have been overwhelmed with stress, hypnosis would be the perfect thing for you. Hypnosis is an amazing tool for stress relief, calming your mind and body by offering you control over your emotional states.
Maintaining stress relief with hypnosis is as simple, accessible, and attainable as reminding yourself that a majority of stress comes from within. This realization actually offers you a sense of control and aptitude that will prepare you for stressful situations.
